Summer Sunset Serenity Exercise

As you transition into a new season, leaving behind the lazy days of summer, embrace the calm of your favorite summer sunset and bring it with you into fall with this simple exercise (can also use anytime you need a little extra calm!)~

  1. Find Your Peaceful Spot: to to that place where it just feels good to you, and you can sit comfortably without distractions.

  2. Breathe Fully & Deeply: Take a few full, slow breaths. Breathing in, imagine you are drawing in positive energy and calmness. Breathing out, imagine releasing any tension or stress.

  3. Reflect on a Summer Sunset: Think about a sunset moment that brought you joy this summer. Maybe a day at the beach with friends and family, or even a moment of solitude (hallelujah for those!). Allow this memory to warm your heart and place your hand over that space.

  4. Embrace the Sunset: Now, with eyes closed, envision that summer sunset in your mind's eye, and as the sun dips below the horizon, imagine it carrying away your worries and stressors with it. Feel a deep sense of release and relief.

  5. Set Intentions: Set a positive intention for how you want to approach the coming changes of fall...and how this will make you feel. Imagine this feeling moving into that space of the heart warmed by the sun and picture it expanding outward....eventually filling your entire body.

  6. Gratitude: Take a  final moment to express gratitude for the renewing sunsets of the summer, and open your eyes to greet the fall with excitement and ease.

Your Invitation to Go Deeper: This "Sunset Serenity" exercise can be completed in just a few minutes, or you can use the actual setting sun in real time to allow you to more deeply engage and let go. It's important to take the time you need to truly connect with the exercise and experience its benefits.
